Getting the products I needed for the ceremony and reception required some thought, but as I turned my attention to getting a present for my bridesmaids, it dawned on me that I had a long ways to go yet. I just couldn’t seem to come across anything that they would really appreciate. A number of favors for reception guests and people who stand up in your wedding are out there on the web. Narrowing it down was the big challenge. I found some bargains on thank you presents, too. I got a really good deal on a wedding set that had a ring bearer pillow, a flower girl basket, a guest book, a pen, and eight pieces in total. That was a big savings. They were a lot cheaper as a set than they would have been if I would have purchased them individually.
I was just browsing through possible thank you presents when I finally came across something the women standing up for my wedding would like: a beautifully adorned jewelry box. In fact there were a few nice wedding jewelry boxes that I could choose from. My head was swirling from all of the options out there for thank you presents, and I had to just go work on some other part of the wedding to get my focus back. I still had to get supplies and accessories for the reception even though the wedding ceremony was all but taken care of. The wedding favors for relatives and close acquaintances hadn’t been settled on, so I looked at doing that, and then there was also the matter of a wedding cake topper to look into. I opted for a bride and groom salt and pepper shaker set and a bottle opener made to look like doves that had a beautiful chrome finish. The package that the dove bottle openers came in was so pretty that I just used that and didn’t even get any special boxes. My man got the groomsmen a neat little multi-purpose tool that had a tiny scissors and a toothpick and all kinds of weird gadgets.
We got a cake topper of pair of newly weds locked in a loving embrace. I looked at several different styles, and almost bought the monogram cake topper with silver brushed initials and crystals, but I fell for the embracing couple instead. I had put it off while I took care of buying the rest of the supplies we’d need, but it was time at last to select a gift for the women standing up in my wedding. I did go with leather jewelry boxes for each of them, and also bought a piece of unique wedding jewelry to put inside. The piece I got each of the bridesmaids was a glittery rhinestone bangle. It wasn’t over-the-top, even though it might seem that way. There were a lot of choices of discount wedding jewelry available, which meant I could get them something really nice, and still save money. I also got a some pearl wedding jewelry for myself, and wore it in my wedding ceremony. The quality of the jewelry is top-notch, and the prices are deeply discounted. The women in our wedding were elated with what I got them, and the men seemed pretty content with their thank you presents, too.
It turned out to be the best day of my life and we all had such a great time at the reception. My groom’s brother caught the garter, and my sister, who’s also not dating anyone, managed to grab the bouquet. Is it just coincidence, or is it fate? If anything came of it and my sister and his brother end up married, that means my sister would also be my sister in law. You never know!
